It is raining in London. Soft, plodding rain that gradually dissipates the morning mist. Amidst the sleepy streets there is a cafe, quaint and cozy, and roomy enough to seat perhaps a dozen. The lights, glowing softly, illuminate tables and cushions, and the sole occupants of the morning - two people seated amongst piles of books. I move closer and one of them looks up.
And I see myself.
It is Norway, and I stand amongst verdant green fields under the endless overcast sky. The winds carry with them the chill of winter, and already light rain is falling. Unbound and free, I wander for a second and forever until, in the distant hills, I see lights calling to me.
Perhaps one day, I will follow them.

I do not believe in god and I do not believe in heaven.
I know this because I dream of it every night.
And I know too, that we all have to create a little bit of heaven for ourselves, because no one is going to give it to us.
How i love the rain.

WoW is history. wc 3 is getting old fast. C&C 3 just isin't up to par. Pokemon Diamond is but a momentary distraction.
Dear me, I seem to be running out of entertainment options.
What a dull world.
I'm waiting to be impressed.
-----------------------------------
So I came across something rather wise the last few days.
"Why is it that the normal people are so smart, but everyone in charge is totally retarded?"
Crude, but quite true. The way I see it, give the current batch of adults a quarter of a century to die out, and then perhaps the world might be a slightly more sensible place. Certainly, you may say that I am spoiled by my youth, bereft of responsibilities and without the advantage of hindsight.
But are you sure?
Pooh, standard argument. Such rhetoric will fool only the sheep and the gullible. Rules and regulations? This isin't as simple as a case of 'good' and 'bad', though it may be favourable for you to brand it as such. No, this involves logic and irrationality.
"Training together shows team spirit?"
"Proper wearing of the uniform signifies that one is proud of the school?"
"Showing up late demonstrates disrespect?"
"Not showing up at all reflects indifference?"
"Service with honour?" (This is the best, I can put together any two righteous sounding words and still come up with something similar, yet some of you act like it has some meaning, some importance.)
For your sake and mine, look beyond your misguided, misplaced morals. Abandon your false idealism and the dangerous - though amusing- effect it has on your physical actions. Awaken, and perceive the abovementioned phrases as what they really are.
Utter nonsense.
Quackery.
That is all.

Food for thought...
Suppose Cambridge, in its infinite wisdom, decided to outlaw the tapping of feet during A level paper sittings, just for the fun of it. Would the school then be justified in failing an ace student for infringing a clearly stated, yet ultimately pointless rule?
In all modesty, it's really very easy to become good at something, it merely requires a smidgen of your attention and concentration, no gruelling practice required. Simple really, I wonder sometimes why this process continues to elude some people.
For goodness sakes, concentrate!
It's that simple.

I theorise that when we desire attention, it is to remind ourselves that we exist.
I suppose then, that when we abhor attention, it is to remind existence that we are ourselves.
I've never been much of a team player, for is not the purest form of competition the dance between two adversaries? The hunter and the hunted, everything else is bait.
There is a time for all dreams to die, but it is not now, not yet.
You wander now in your ignorance, but you may yet turn down the wrong path, and there will be a rustle and a flurry of movement, and the dance will be over.
A hunter always keeps his weapons sharp.

People tell me that as a gamer, I am but an escapist pandering to delusions.
Hah! The irony, it boggles the mind.
I am not deluded, I simply see everything that you do - and don't.

And so there goes my/our opportunity to raise the pathetic standard of gaming in NJC, 'least theres still standard matches to apply myself to. Your loss, not mine.
Oh don't get me wrong, I've no quarrel with those who really try to get better, but I've no tolerance for scrubs that overrate themselves. Not only that, but they seem to have - against all odds - cultivated a mugger-like approach to gaming. My god, (and i sound like an old geezer here) we never bothered with memorising strategy and combinations back then, just the essence of competence distilled over and over again.
I played this game when you were in primary school.
Do the math.
Know your place.

Numbing, jarring, distracting, excruciating, each an entity in it's own right.
This one is a lance of ice that sears the heart, again and again. As if one's chest were a void, to be filled with rime and snow.
But it can be harnessed, oh yes, it can be harnessed.
For the ghost of you - the stain you left - I must be competent, impervious, and perfect. For every mistake and sign of weakness is visible, and the audience is watching.
I must show no mercy, for the godless receive none.
