When I get the time, sometime this week, I plan to translate one of these into pencilwork. Also interested in Tempest Keep, have to get some screenshots of that.
Wish you were here.

I rather think my shading has improved slightly, haven't posted any drawings in a long time. So yes, Eek just finished Harry Potter too - made a wand out of a twig and a fallen star.
*Remind me never to colour a hat purple again, that was a bad idea, haha.

Messy, tough, disorganized, fearless, not rule conscious, likes the unknown, rarely worries, rash, attracted to the counter culture, rarely irritated, positive, resilient, abstract, not a perfectionist, risk taker, strange, weird, self reliant, leisurely, dangerous, anti-authority, trusting, optimistic, positive, thrill seeker, likes bizarre things, sarcastic.
Not too bad, pretty accurate, I reckon.

The world is fragile today. Took the train home early in the morning, and reality seemed painted on, as if any moment it would wash away and reveal goodness knows what.
"Those were the good old days."
"Where have all the good times gone?"
You fool! You're living them right now.
Don't wait till it's too late before you realise that. Throw your childhood aside and take up studying if you will, but I'll be darned if I do the same. All my life I've sought to fit studies around my entertainment and leisure schedule, and it's worked just fine. One more test is coming, we shall see if I'm up to the task.

On rainy days, he used to enjoy lying amongst the fields, drinking in the crisp autumn air. From this perspective, the grass seemed to envelop and swallow him into the earth. He would lie there, contemplative, and the fathoms of blue-grey sky would stare back at him. The lone diver, he fancied himself, staring up at the void from the bottom of the sea. It was a lonely and beautiful place.
And so it happens that I sometimes get these peculiar impulses. My mind washes clear and everything seems so natural, so logical. Remorse vanishes, that ugly, cumbersome thing. And I am then driven to draw, or colour.
This time, a paragraph of prose floated into existence. It also seems that I am to ditch school for today, and focus on revising statistics.
What a lucky coincidence, revision is done, now for the prose.

One fine day in National Junior College, Eek stumbled across something totally dastardly.
My, my.

And so, it seems, I am finished with the book. It was not suspenseful, nor was it thrilling. No, because it was everything.
I turned over the last page, collected my thoughts, and closed the book.
Let us just say, that moments like that have a kind of magic of their own.

New stage for SSBB, Rumble Falls. It scrolls vertically much like Infinite Glacier. I expect this to be a pretty fun map, already impressed by the visuals. Guess I'm a sucker for forest themes.

I apologise for not blogging lately, as the reading of Harry Potter has occupied most of my attention. With that in mind, I am as of writing at page 296.
As an added consequence I am also rather behind on my art. I try to do at least 2 a week. Almost done now, just a smidgen of colouring left.Oh yes, that photo above was taken with my camera phone, I am always amazed at what it can do.

Obligatory Harry Potter post. I shall soon perform the unimaginable task of waking at 7 sharp on a Saturday (Caturday) morning to start reading. Not much more to say, 'cept I'm colouring stuff and getting ready for a reading marathon tomorrow.
Aha, good times. See you after I'm done reading!

It's just a bit to the left, over there, ah. Now tell me, what does your imagination look like? Is it all pinkish with soap bubbles?
When I was young it was all Peter Rabbit and woodland and cabbage fields, not forgetting the trees that went up and on forever. The hidden places of the forests and the seas. Still is, I reckon.
But on to more immediate matters, my personal view on leadership.
"I seem to remember telling you both that I would have to expel you if you broke any more school rules," "Which goes to show that the best of us must sometimes eat our words."
-Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
Ah, humility. A sense of humour. And a willingness to bend the rules when the situation calls for it. Qualities I greatly admire.

Coming from this.Well... I don't do poetry, so lets imagine someone called Kalvin has hijacked my blog. It's not the truth, but it's a very good lie.Little boy blue,1) didn't have a clue.2) For all he had to rue,3) was a lack of chocolate fondue.4) Exasperated! He flew,5) with his very motley crew,6) into clouds painted new,7) by rain and a kitten's mew.8) So then he bids his ship adieu,9) and walks toward a gloomy view,10) of rain and mist and lo, behold! A chocolate fondue queue.11) Gods I must be dreaming, take an axe to me and hew!12) For is that not in front of me, a sight seen but by few!13) Slipping, sliding down the pew,14) he turns toward the... ewww!15) For alas! That marvelous fondue had turned into his beau!16) What trickery! What sorcery! You, in lieu?!17) And the boy woke from slumber under a tree, obviously yew.18) Alas the dream was not to be, his craving born anew,19) for all he had were memories, of his homework due.20) And so the story ends, or could that be a ruse?21) That faraway smell, of fondue of iridescent hue.*Gah, I can tag 7 people but I'll settle for challenging anyone who reads this to beat 21 lines. **Your phrases. 1) A marvellous noodle. 2) A magical rabbit hops.

K
Made contact with our operative, a rather pleasant black Tabby. We've scouted a forward Mu'ggar base. Seems to be a newer facility, more heavily defended too.
The usual plan isn't going to work this time, I will require no less than a positron rifle. Here are the coordinates, now airlift it over quick because I'm getting bored. You people have thermal scanners too don't you? I'll light 'em up with the PL27, and you nuke 'em from orbit.
Fair and square, gentlemen. You told me this mission was going to be a vacation. Well, I will require some fireworks.
C, out.

I just got back from watching Harry Potter. Pretty decent, as is the case with most movies, visually pleasing and emotionally barren. I don't think anyone would deny that books usually turn out nicer than their movie counterparts.
If you've read it, you'll know just how much content they cut out in the actual movie, such a waste. Still, jolly good fun. Now that it's the weekend, I can get started on some art.
Later.

"An ultra intelligent machine could design even better machines; there would then unquestionably be an ‘intelligence explosion,’ and the intelligence of man would be left far behind. Thus the first ultra intelligent machine is the last invention that man need ever make."
An interesting postulation, I've always been interested in recursive phenomena, positive feedback mechanisms in particular, such as the one above, given their tendency to spectacular behavior. Also intriguing are related occurrences such as infinite cycles in Magic: The Gathering and infinite combination attacks in certain video games.
I think it deserves it's own specialised field of study.
Among other things...

They're not quite sure what to make of me.
I like that, it's very satisfying.
And so, breaking stereotypes has always been my other hobby.
I'm very polite to teachers, but pay no regards to the proper wearing of the uniform. I don't study, got retained, and yet, against all odds, 'unintelligent' is not a word that sticks to me.
I am the gamer, an addict. I am the introverted bookworm. Yet I, too, am the loudmouthed extrovert to some. The truant, a miscreant, fallen through the cracks. The drifter. The intellectual. The himbo.
Perhaps, just perhaps, it's possible that I am all of them.
The most dangerous labels are the ones that never get spoken, that never quite get from the head to the tongue. And why not? Better a fool made public, than a fool left to muse idly.
I like to think, in an odd, twisted way, that I am saving the world.
Oh yes, one person at a time.
*In other news, the North American release date for SSBB is the 3rd of December! They have also released a short 15 second video for those interested.

I've lots of lineart really for colouring, the monotony of school is great inspiration.
Firstly, this is a really cool group that does covers for popular songs - in Gregorian chant.
Also, a really awesome artist, the piece above is done by her.
Till next time.

Colouring is done finally, now I can start thinking about a boss design to enter in that Maplestory contest. I think it will be Eek in cyber-pirate gear.
The second one is a coloured version of something I did a while ago. Some people from Vivocity came across the IdentiTEE site and asked if I could modify it and enter it in their design contest.
First time I tried mixing 4 colours too, was trying to achieve a smooth gradient. As you can see it's pink, darker pink, purple, and blue.

Ah, so school doesn't start till Wednesday, brilliant. Nothing beats waking up late to rain, getting some drawing done and hitting the computer.
But hey, school can't be that bad if that's what I get up to in class. Almost done on the colouring too, I expect I'll scan and upload it tomorrow.

1. If you were a bird, which bird would you be?
You know, the metal kind that flies really fast.
2. Which town would you choose to die in?
I like London, outer space is good too.
6. If you had to sing a well-known song about your life, which song would you choose?
No, I don't sing. Period.
7. Which fictional hero do you resemble the most?
Well, I fancy myself as Kira Yamato.
9. At what age do you think you'll die?
I don't intend to die. Knowing my luck, when I'm in the prime of my life, science will be able to lengthen my telomeres and I'll be immortal. Any time now...
13. What job would you do if you could choose anything?
Graphic design.
14. What is your worst fear?
Bees, flying insects. Hate 'em. Especially those that buzz.
17. Describe the worst nightmare you have ever had.
I was in a room full of boxes and shadows, and the moon was hovering above me, changing phases. And then the sight of the moon suddenly struck me with absolute terror. Not the normal kind mind you, the terror that makes you feel like your mind is melting.
Its late and I'm sleepy so I cut out the boring bits.

On animal rights, quoted.
"We only want to save the cute animals, don't we? Yeah. Why don't we just have animal auditions. Line 'em up one by one and interview them individually. "What are you?" "I'm an otter." "And what do you do?" "I swim around on my back and do cute little human things with my hands." "You're free to go." "And what are you?" "I'm a cow." "Get in the fucking truck, ok pal!"
So electrocuting pigs is cruelty? Is that because the pig thinks so, or because it makes the human uneasy? While animals are incapable of articulating thought, humans may or may not be justified in making decisions for them.
The wisdom and objectivity of said decisions are also questionable at best.
Like the incident where two activists opened a pen to free some captive pigs.
That's right, they got trampled to death.

I've been playing quite a bit of Maplestory lately. Needless to say, the level of English and maturity I see online leave much to be desired. Slowly I feel it eating away at my sanity, robbing me of coherence. So this post is a way for me to practice writing proper English again.
Once I finish my colouring, sometime this week, I'll put that up as well as something more comprehensive. Back to leveling.
