So I was thinking. Countless people suffer emotionally because they try to look to a perfect cosmic entity as a role model, while humans are inherently imperfect. Sometimes you have to lie, sometimes you have to be mean, that is life. Stuff it and move on I say.

Fear is a blunt weapon. People think they are going to go to hell for lying. They are terrified. Anything that uses fear as a means of control loses my respect immediately.

It's not very creative at all.

More seriously, I wonder if it's beneficial to have such a convenient means of absolving oneself of guilt by confession. Stop saying sorry. Stop saying you'll change for the better.
