I read a rather interesting article in the forum section of today's Today newspaper. Seems the reader was wondering if the purpose of scholarships was being lost, if they were being taken up by the bright instead of the poor.
To my knowledge, the purpose of a scholarship is to provide financial support for students unable to pay for further education. I've always wondered if I thought wrong, because the contributor of the article does mention - and I do notice this - that they are being taken up for the prestige rather than the financial benefits.
As such, I've never really seen fit to aspire to such goals. Wouldn't want my studies to interfere with my education now, would we?
Indeed, as is the case for many things, spread yourself too thin and soon enough there will be nothing left at all.
A little more self indulgent than I would normally allow myself to be, but that's nighttime magic for you.
That sure was sombre, cat lovers might want to check out this Deviant. After all, every day is Caturday.
